Practice Experience: A native of Peoria, Illinois, Adam began his career at Heyl Royster by working as a law clerk in both the Peoria and Urbana offices. Following his graduation in 2003, he joined the firm’s Peoria office. Practice Emphasis: Adam concentrates his practice in the defense of asbestos and toxic tort claims arising from environmental and occupational exposures, including products and premises liability claims. He is also involved in commercial litigation defense. He defends numerous clients in asbestos litigation throughout the state of Illinois, including equipment manufacturers, public utilities, premises owners and contractors. Adam also defends silica cases. As counsel Adam has responsibility for drafting and arguing countless discovery motions, motions to dismiss, motions to compel and motions for summary judgment. He has taken hundreds of depositions in the asbestos litigation, including those of plaintiffs, fact witnesses, treating physicians, corporate representatives and experts. Adam also assists at the trial of these cases, providing trial support and being present in the courtroom. Adam is a member of the Peoria County, Illinois State and American Bar Associations.
