| Practice Experience:
Brad worked as a law clerk for Heyl Royster in 1987 and 1988. After spending two years with a defense firm in southern Illinois, he returned to the firm in 1991 and is in the Peoria office. Brad is a native of Peoria. He became a partner with the firm in 1999. Practice Emphasis: Brad concentrates his practice in appellate law, emphasizing in workers’ compensation appeals, and has significant experience in class action litigation relating to procedural, forum and appellate issues. He has written several articles for the Southern Illinois University Law Journal, and a chapter for the ISBA Law Ed Series on Workers’ Compensation Appeals. He writes a regular column for the Illinois Defense Counsel Quarterly publication. Brad has also spoken on workers’ compensation appellate topics at state and local seminars, and teaches courses in the Illinois Central College paralegal program. During law school, Brad served as the Survey Editor for the Southern Illinois University Law Journal and was a member of the Moot Court Board. Brad is a member of the Peoria County, Illinois State, and American Bar Associations, and the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association, of which he has been a member of the Board of Directors, and former Chair of the Association’s Rules Committee. He currently serves on the ABA’s Tort and Insurance Practice Appellate Advocacy and Workers’ Compensation Committees and is a former member of the ISBA Workers’ Compensation Section Council. Brad also regularly writes articles for various internationally published military aviation journals and has had five books published on aerospace topics.
