Practice Experience:

Craig began his legal career with Heyl Royster in 1994 after serving as law clerk to the Honorable Carl A. Lund, Justice, Illinois Appellate Court, Fourth District. He became a partner with the firm in January 2005.

Practice Emphasis:

Craig concentrates his practice in appellate advocacy, handling a wide variety of cases in areas ranging from medical malpractice and insurance coverage to civil rights and tort law. He handles appeals for all of the firm’s offices in the five Illinois appellate districts, the Illinois Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Craig has argued ten cases before the Illinois Supreme Court.

Craig is a member of the Peoria County, Illinois State, and American Bar Associations. He is currently President on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) and the American Inns of Court.

His publications include the chapter on Privileges in the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education (IICLE) Manual of Illinois Civil Trial Evidence and a chapter on Amicus Curiae Briefs for the DRI Manual of Appellate Practice.
