Practice Experience: Upon graduating from law school, John began his career in private practice in Ohio, concentrating primarily in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice. Prior to law school, John held the position of Liability Specialist with Country Companies. He joined Heyl Royster’s Springfield office in October 2003. Practice Emphasis: John concentrates his practice in the defense of asbestos litigation, general civil litigation, workers' compensation and professional liability. John devotes a substantial amount of his practice to the defense of asbestos litigation claims throughout the state of Illinois. John has defended the firm's clients at depositions of plaintiffs, fact witnesses, treating physicians and expert witnesses. He also appears and presents argument on behalf of our defendants in pretrial matters in courts throughout the state. He is a member of the Ohio and Illinois State Bar Associations.
