Practice Experience:

Prior to joining Heyl Royster, Philip was engaged in the general practice of law for nearly 25 years. During that time, his practice focused on civil litigation and workers’ compensation, and the defense of criminal litigation. He joined Heyl Royster’s Edwardsville office in February of 2004 and serves as Of Counsel.

Practice Emphasis:

Philip focuses his practice on the defense of mass torts, including asbestos litigation.

He has defended the firm’s clients at hundreds of depositions of plaintiffs, co-workers, medical providers and experts in asbestos matters in both Illinois and Missouri. Phil regularly prepares and argues discovery motions, motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment.

He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
