| Practice Experience:
Prior to joining Heyl Royster, Sarah served as an Assistant Attorney General for more than 17 years, working under four Attorneys General. Her most recent position at the Attorney General’s Office was Bureau Chief of the Springfield General Law Bureau, where she supervised civil trial litigation in 86 Illinois counties and the Central and Southern Districts of the United States District Courts. Sarah also headed the Springfield Industrial Commission Bureau for seven years, overseeing the defense of all downstate workers’ compensation claims against the State of Illinois. Her practice experience includes workers’ compensation defense, civil rights, prisoner litigation, employment discrimination, labor and administrative law. She joined Heyl Royster in the Springfield office in 2003. Practice Emphasis: Sarah concentrates her practice in workers’ compensation defense and employment law. She is a member of the Illinois State (Workers’ Compensation and ADR Sections) and Central and Southern Federal Districts of Illinois Bar Associations. Admitted to Practice: State Courts of Illinois |
