Practice Experience: A native of Normal, Illinois, Tim began his career in private practice in Central Illinois. Tim’s practice has included a wide range of corporate matters and business asset transactions. Tim also has considerable experience in elder law, estate planning, probate, real estate transactions, and municipal law. In 1987, Tim joined the Legal Department at Central Illinois Light Company (CILCO), a NYSE traded company based in Peoria, Illinois. He became the General Counsel for CILCO in 1993. Tim had overall responsibility for all of CILCO’s legal matters and also provided daily legal services to the company in the areas of litigation, regulatory affairs, real estate, legislative affairs and compliance. In 1997, Tim became the Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of ROHN Industries, Inc., a NASDAQ traded company based in Peoria, Illinois. Tim’s practice at ROHN concentrated on corporate matters, transactions, SEC filings, contract review and preparation, and litigation management. Tim was also responsible for ROHN’s human resource function. Tim joined Heyl Royster in 1999 and became a partner in 2001. Practice Emphasis: Tim’s practice emphasis presently includes elder law, guardianships, powers of attorney, living trusts, Medicaid planning, wills, probate, real estate, corporate law and business asset transactions. He is a frequent speaker on elder law issues for local groups and organizations. He is a member of the Peoria County, Illinois State and American Bar Associations, and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Admitted to Practice: State Courts of Illinois |
